About the Role

The Director will be under the guidance and supervision of the Education Division VPThe Director will assist in the communication and implementation of local market K12 initiativesAdditionally, the Director will be involved in HR related issues within their designated area. i.e., hiring, termination, performance improvement and will assist in corrective action as appropriate. K12 Directors will have input into the goals and objectives, and the daily management of activities, directions, and supervisionConsistent communication with the ZoneVice Presidents and Market Director is paramount. 


  • Manage the K12 Team to meet the requirements of their Job Description, i.e.: driving the Principals Sales Strategy within their focus accounts,LLO activity, customer profiles, and current bids, etc.    

  • Build and maintain relationships with K12 Focused Principals by communicating with them on business activity and gaining additional business, and by acting on both positive and negative situations. 

  • Meet with Top 100 School Districts within your area to develop "top to top" relationships, and review KeyImpact's principals' activity within those accountsWork with these accounts on business building activities and act on both positive and negative situations. 

  • Work in cooperation with Bid and Commodity Teams to ensure the K12 Education Sales Specialists are focused on bid coding, bid awards, and scrubbing of the bids through CRM in a timely manner 

  • Coaching, training and mentoring will be a major priority for our team's success, the Director will be the catalyst to engage their team.      

  • Actively working with the K12 team in the field, monitoring techniques, strategy, and effectiveness.   

  • Attend State and National Conferences projecting the Acxion Brand, Strategy and Professionalism.  

  • Work collaboratively with K12 Team at State and National K12 Commodity Shows and State Conferences.  

  • Prepare and assist with manufacturer interviews by attending national meetings for our principals 

  • Contributes to the overall quality of the K12 division by developing, reviewing, and implementing sales plans, service plans, and makes recommendations for improvement to ensure maximum service delivery. 

  • Support the execution of the manufacturers plan with the Market Directors Successfully manage expectations of K12 focused clients. 

  • Perform additional duties as required. 


  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.   

  • Ability to work independently with little to no supervision to prioritize/plan your schedule.   

  • Able to balance multiple situations with a strong ability to prioritize workload.   

  • Able to work well with others, build and maintain a team atmosphere and provide exceptional customer service.   

  • Good decision, problem solving and negotiating skills.   

  • Effective time-management skills.   

  • Excellent conflict resolution skills.   

  • Maintain high level of professionalism.  

  • College degree in business or related field or equivalent experience.    

  • Must have over 5 years of previous sales experience.   

  • 5 years of management experience in directing the workflow of others and/or direct reports. 

  • Strong knowledge of the brokerage business and relationship to Principals and overall business. 

  • Experience with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, Salesforce CRM, Tableau, Motus and Concur.  

  • Frequent travel 

  • highly concentrated mental and visual alertness.   

  • Majorportion of the day is spenttalking either in-person, by telephone and/or email handling K-12 opportunities and resolving issues. 

  • Frequent over- night travel.
