Primary Purpose:  This position is responsible for driving sales activity and reinforcing product training within a specific geographic region for a specific Client. 

 

Responsibilities: (This list may not include all the duties assigned)

  1. Facilitate sales plan execution through collaboration between Client, Acxion Corporate Client Manager and Acxion local Markets to identify new business opportunities with distributors and LLO's
  2. Conduct sales calls with or without Acxion sales team at distributors and operators to meet the goals of Acxion and Client.
  3. Complete 12-15 weekly operator calls either in person or via technology and report calls in CRM.
  4. Become the subject matter expert for Client and assist with on-boarding of new hires as needed.
  5. Gain new distribution of Client's Categories with the help of Acxion's DBM's.
  6. Provide on-going product training as needed to assigned Acxion market's sales teams.
  7. Work closely with Client to play key role in future initiatives such as product rollouts, brand strategies, and category management initiatives to include product assortment, promotion support, and pricing execution where applicable.
  8. Work closely with local market BDM's, DBMs and Operator Specialist to take the lead on closing large sales opportunities.
  9. Target high volume opportunities at multi-unit chains and LLO's. By working directly with Client to ensure all opportunities are maximized.
  10. Communicate and maintain an overview of the line on an ongoing basis with the Corporate Client Manager, Market Directors, BDM's and Client's Regionals.
  11. Work with Acxion Marketing Department, Chefs and the sales team to develop menu concepts to effectively drive the product line.
  12. Attend regular conference calls and sales meetings with Client.
  13. Perform additional duties as required.

 

Basic Position Requirements:            

Abilities:         Excellent communication and organizational skills. Should be skilled at verbal and written communication.  Capable of adapting approach & style to deal with all levels within the organization. Ability to work independently with little supervision, to prioritize/plan your schedule.  Able to multi-task. Able to get along with others and provide superior customer service. Good decision and negotiating skills. Effective time-management skills. Excellent conflict resolution skills. Maintain a high level of professionalism.  Results oriented.

Knowledge:    BA/BS degree.  Minimum of 3 years foodservice sales experience. Strong knowledge of brokerage business and relationship to Client and overall business. Experience with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, & Outlook.

Supervisory Responsibilities: N/A

Working Conditions:  Some on the road driving along with air travel; highly concentrated mental and visual alertness.  Major portion of the day is spent talking either in-person or by telephone engaging with customers. Frequent up/down motion to perform duties. Moderate typing, calculating or otherwise working with fingers. Visual acuity. Ability to hear and receive detailed information. 20% travel will be required in this role.

Equipment / Tools:      Calculator, personal computer, telephone, fax, and copier. Must have some form of reliable transportation to get to and from accounts.
