Primary Purpose: The VP, Chains, manages, oversees and directs the activities of the Chain Division. Develops strategies to advance the company's mission of revenue and profit growth. Builds relationships and trust with clients, and customers, to develop the foundation for sales execution and ultimately growth.
Responsibilities: (This list may not include all the duties assigned)
- Manage the Chain Division, ensuring that the Division is supporting the overarching corporate Strategy.
- Build relationships with Chain Division Customers such that those relationships can support Client strategies to penetrate and grow in this segment.
- Build relationships and trust with partner Client contacts for the Chain segment, ultimately working to support the development of programs which can be executed across our footprint to increase Customer, Client and Acxion Foodservice.
- Manage, support and mentor organization to drive toward agreed upon short term and long-term goals, which include sales growth, training, administration, reporting, etc.
- Build relationships and trust with other Acxion organizational leaders which include but not limited to Corporate Client Manager, Business Intelligence, Sales Leadership, etc....all in an effort to ensure One Acxion..
- Be viewed internally and externally as the Leader of the Chain division of Acxion. The Vice President adds value by being the authority, while ensuring that the knowledge transfer externally and internally is seen as productive, and in line with the Acxion mission, vision and overall culture.
- Ensure all employees in the division are aware of and supportive of the overall Corporate mission and vision, and acting in accordance with all corporate policies and procedures.
- Assist Partners with achieving business objectives by developing action plans, reviewing performance, and targeting areas of expansion.
- Determine the division's structure and manpower requirements that will most effectively and economically meet company objectives.
- Ensure that employees throughout their division comply with all company employment policies and procedures including federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
- Provide opportunities for those under his/her supervision to develop their individual skills and abilities to their full potential.
- Develop budgets and cost controls to manage their operation effectively.
- Develop strong ties with key customers and accounts and be proactive in understanding the issues likely to impact the market.
- Advise the President and other members of senior management on sales directions, market trends, including technology trends.
- Continually assess management and staff in division to ensure effective leadership, appropriate staffing, structure, and training to meet sales goals and evolving business needs.
- Conduct performance reviews on staff to ensure company goals and objectives are being met and to address any performance issues.
- Knowledgeable on market and industry trends, competitors and leading customer strategies.
- Perform additional duties as required.
